Descrierea Proiectului [top]

Proiectul TRANSYS (ID 238) este finantat de CNCSIS prin contractul 4/28.07.2010. Proiectul isi propune cercetarea si dezvoltarea de modele, metode si tehnici originale pentru imbunatatirea calitatii traficului in medii urbane. Sistemele vizate sunt cele de transport inteligent (ITS), solutiile vizate fiind dezvoltate in contextul retelelor VANET. Caracteristicile acestor sisteme prezinta noi provocari pentru oamenii de stiinta, in special datorita dinamicitatii de conectare a nodurilor retelelor VANET, distributiei geografice si volatilitatii resurselor implicate. Rezolvarea problemei optimizarii traficului folosind reteaua mobila distribuita intre participantii la trafic si intre acestia si infrastructura rutiera este in continuare un subiect de cercetare. Cu toate ca numeroase proiecte au obtinut rezultate in acest sens, inca nu a fost gasita o solutie care sa ofere simultan comunicatie eficienta, securitate, siguranta si toleranta la defecte si care sa ofere capabilitati de limitare a congestiilor, rutare optima a traficului, reducere a poluarii datorata participantilor la trafic si care sa exploateze noile capabilitati ale tehnologiilor, protocoalelor si standardelor moderne de trafic. Proiectul propune un model arhitectural care sa permita abordarea unitara si generica a tuturor acestor aspecte. Metodele si tehnicile propuse vor urmari cresterea sigurantei in trafic, diminuarea poluarii si reducerea congestiei in medii urbane. In cadrul proiectului vor fi cercetare si dezvoltate protocoale si tehnologii la nivelul infrastructurii (pentru transportul eficient al datelor, cresterea securitatii, a tolerantei la defect) ca suport pentru modele propuse. Evaluarea performantelor solutiilor propuse va fi asigurata prin simulare. In acest scop vor fi dezvoltate modele de simulare adecvate pentru evaluarea sistemelor si tehnicilor pentru retele VANET precum cele dezvoltate in cadrul proiectului. TRANSYS reprezinta o continuare a eforturilor din proiectele de cercetare curente, care propun doar solutii partiale si separate pentru aceste aspecte. Durata proiectului este de 2 ani (2010-2012).

Obiectivele Proiectului [top]

Obiectivul principal al proiectul este cercetarea si dezvoltarea de modele, metode si tehnici originale pentru eficientizarea traficului in medii urbane. Sistemele vizate sunt cele de transport inteligent (ITS), solutiile vizate fiind dezvoltate in contextul retelelor VANET. Prin acest obiectiv se urmaresc solutii pentru reducerea congestiei in medii aglomerate, diminuarea poluarii datorita masinilor si asigurarea sigurantei in trafic.

Obiectivele derivate constituie o completare a obiectivului principal pe baza componentelor si solutiilor definite in cadrul proiectului. Modele, metodele si tehnicile propuse vor avea la baza un set unitar de solutii pentru asigurarea securitatii, comunicatiei intre vehicule si intre vehicule si intrastructura rutiera si asigurarea tolerantei la defecte. In acest context, in cadrul proiectului sunt propuse urmatoarele obiective derivate:


Impact [top]

Impactul proiectului in acest context consta in propunerea unor solutii originale pentru asigurarea comunicatiei, securitatii si tolerantei la defecte in retele VANET, in scopul imbunatatirea calitatii traficului in medii urbane. Solutiile propuse in cadrul proiectului vor fi folosite pentru dezvoltarea de aplicatii ce urmaresc cresterea sigurantei in trafic, diminuarea poluarii si reducerea congestiei in medii urbane.

Evaluarea performantelor solutiilor propuse va fi asigurata prin simulare. In acest scop un alt element de impact al proiectul va consta in propunerea de modele de simulare adecvate pentru evaluarea sistemelor si tehnicilor pentru retele VANET precum cele dezvoltate in cadrul proiectului. Va fi dezvoltat si suportul experimental pentru evaluarea performantelor prin simulare, folosind in acest scop simulatorul VNSim.

Solutiile propuse vor putea fi folosite de catre diferite colective de cercetare in proiecte ce au ca suport sistemele VANET. Solutiile vor putea constitui, de asemenea, suportul pentru extinderea unor cursuri universitare de master si doctorat si pot constitui elemente de finalizare a unor teze de doctorat si de propunere a altora noi. Pe plan industrial companiile care dezvolta aplicatii pentru aceste tipuri de sisteme vor putea folosi modelele si metodele de realizare, functionare si extindere a aplicatiilor folosind solutiile elaborate in cadrul acestui proiect.
